Could you add a line to not overwrite the config file every update/install? something like: backup=("etc/php/conf.d/ssh2.ini") Thanks!

This is broken upstream for now. I've submitted a bug report. You can build a fixed version from my github: https://github.com/yardenac/pkgbuilds/tree/master/packages/php-ssh-git I'm not pushing the fix here because it messes with the source URL, and will probably break the pkgver when upstream does fix...
