The package fails to compile if php7 is not installed. Here is the patch to use php56: http://pastebin.com/download/NzZP8b8C

@pohl7589 Which command are you running that uses the wrong PHP binary? You can upload your patch to a pastebin somewhere and post a link here if you like.

Changes need to be made to bin/compile, i.e. rename all "php" calls to "php56". In the PKGBUILD, the patches are not found. They need to be in applied in "../php56.patch" and "../phpunit56.patch". How can I submit a patch?

@samueloph Your curl installation method suggests you're possibly just trying to install php-composer, rather than the php56 version? If not, it looks like you've only got the PKGBUILD - you need the full snapshot which includes the patches ("Download snapshot" at the top right).
