@php4fan php85-gd package is part of php85 package. You can't build it separately.

You have to build whole package set for php85.

It's NOT mainline php and is not related to it.

php85-opcache subpackage is present for AUR version, so no problems here

@php4fan smtp-forwarder is used for PHP tests. Ask question to upstream instead. They use postfix always:

My comment was about php85-gd (and I posted it under php85-gd). I see that all the comments about any of the php85-* packages show up in all the pages of all the other php85-* packages. What a f***ing mess.

Why is this not in the official repository? It is turned on by default since version 8.5, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PHP#OPcache.

Why on earth does this depend on smtp-forwarder??

When I install this package it prompts me to choose a provider for smtp-forwarder, among dma, exim, and more. I don't want to install any of those and mess my system up just to have gd in php8.5. How is that related in any way?

This must be a mistake.
