And please don't use
'.beta'suffix anymore, only'beta'suffix.MarsSeed commented on 2022-05-24 15:29 (UTC) (edited on 2023-04-28 12:54 (UTC) by MarsSeed)
Hi. The current version is problematic.
Because for pacman,
2.3.1.beta.3-3is newer then the prospective release version2.3.1-1.This is the order as pacman sees it (pkgrel suffix ommitted for the example):
To fix this problem, you'll need to add
epoch=1to PKGBUILD no later than when you update to pkgver=2.3.1 (or you can add the epoch now so it won't be forgotten later). If you don't add epoch, pacman won't update the package upon release of pkgver=2.3.1

Hi, it seems there is no
2.3.1yet. The latest version tag isv2.3.1-beta.3.You can add that version to PKGBUILD in a way that conforms to pacman versioning scheme (# comments not needed, I've added them only to explain why I'm declaring that line the way I do):
After adding epoch, you'll need to keep that in PKGBUILD indefinitely.
