@ortango: I already submitted a merge request. :)

For clarity's sake -- people should jump over to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/picom-git/ if they're using compton-git currently.

yshui has changed the project name to picom.

not sure if you want to move onto picom-git, but regardless the pkgbuild needs an update currently because compton.sample.conf has changed names.

Thanks for the heads up, the upstream change didn't cause a build failure so I wouldn't have noticed otherwise!

Upstream has renamed the "build_docs" option into "with_docs". In the PKGBUILD on line 36, things have now to be changed into "-Dwith_docs=true".

Here's the upstream commit where this happened:

Thanks for the heads up.

uthash is now a (build?) dependency.

The error seems pretty self-explanatory.

makepkg -C is what you need, no idea if pikaur has an option to pass that through or not.

Updating the package with pikaur is giving me the following error. Any idea what's going on?

Directory already configured.

Just run your build command (e.g. ninja) and Meson will regenerate as necessary.
If ninja fails, run "ninja reconfigure" or "meson --reconfigure"
to force Meson to regenerate.

If build failures persist, run "meson setup --wipe" to rebuild from scratch
using the same options as passed when configuring the build.
To change option values, run "meson configure" instead.

OK thanks, was just wondering if anyone else has seen this.

There's little point in reporting that here. Check out the open issues at https://github.com/yshui/compton/issues and open a new one if your symptoms aren't covered by an existing one.
