Hi All, new picoscope version (6.14.17_4r544) already out. I already fix it in my github repo https://github.com/vanbwodonk/picoscope. I don't know how to submit PR in AUR.

Thanks for maintaining this package. I just want to point out in case anyone else has the same issue - the libps2000 package didn't seem to work for me, but the 'a' version did the trick.

@d33d34rt As mentioned earlier, install libps2000 (without the a). It works.

@mti: thanks for your prompt answer. Yes my user is in pico group. Using root account provides same result (no suitable device found). When running /opt/picoscope/share/usbtest, the result says that my device is detected and my account properly configured (write capacity granted). I'll try to install 3000a although Pico website saids the required lib is libps3000. I keep you updated. thanks again for the support.

@d33d34rt: Maybe you need to run "udevadm control -R" to make sure the correct udev rules are loaded and then disconnect and connect the Picoscope again.

If you run "groups" does it list the group "pico"?

I would try running picoscope as root just to make sure there are no permission problems.

You can also try the libps3000a driver but I think libps3000 is the correct driver for 3206.

Hello,

PKG does not work for me. I have Pico 3000 (3206). My device is not found by the soft. I've installed libps3000, the usbtest says that it should work (device detected /no permission issue (my user belongs to pico group). Does anyone experienced/is experiencing this issue ? Does I miss something (like compiling a specific driver ?).

I have been a lazy maintainer... but now at last I have updated picscope and the different libs to the latest version.

I have removed the dependency on mono-tools, now picoscope depends on gtk-sharp-2. Thanks for the tip MacGyver.

I have also removed the build dependency on dpkg. Thanks for the tip atreides.

I left support for i386 (32-bit) for the libs but I have not tested it.

Some instructions to get Picoscope running: You have to add your user to the group "pico" or edit the file "/etc/udev/rules.d/95-pico.rules" to give the USB device other permisions. Run "udevadm control -R" after changing udev rules.

You also need to install the libpsX000-packages matching your Picoscope.

This just doesn't work; "No suitable device found.". Are there any extra dependencies or kernel modules one needs to install? EDIT: libps2000 does the trick in my case: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libps2000/ It's not a kernel module, it's some sort of a library that digs out the lowest-level USB devices from /dev.
