When trying to fetch the sources i get error because i have no permissions to log into the git repository.

The project has moved it's website, and subsecuently abadoned it. I've made a branch of the latest version, and modified (well, just two lines) to build on Arch. Here's it's PKGBUILD: https://github.com/hobarrera/aur-packages/blob/master/pidgin-gpg/PKGBUILD If you'd like to orphan this package, I've no issue adopting and maintining it. Cheers!
