Should this not depend on pidgin?
Trying to build in chroot errors out if pidgin is not installed.

@smirky, did you enable it in Pidgin? i.e. Tools > Plug-ins > Ubuntu Indicator; click the checkbox, then restart.

I don't seem to have a tray icon in Pidgin using this package.
Is there some configuration that must be done somewhere for it to work or it's not working anymore?

Is there a way to make the icon show only on new messages? I can see the "Blink on New Message" option, but I'd prefer it to totally hide.
Also, I wonder if it's worth renaming this package to pidgin-indicator. I searched aur for this phrase, but found an unrelated, orphaned package [1]. Perhaps if that isn't ideal, then at least include the phrase pidgin-indicator in this package's name? I'm not sure how; perhaps append the author's name (pidgin-indicator-philipl)?

This doesn't seem to work with Plasma 5.2

Thanks for packaging this plugin. As Plasma next dropped support for xembed, this package is really needed.
