If you used this version to connect to the ICQ network, just add "oscar" (without the quotes) to the --with-dynamic-prpls=jabber,irc option...for example: --with-dynamic-prpls=jabber,irc,oscar .

I'm not maintaining this package anymore. Someone can adopt it.

I made the change, let me know if there are any problems.

There are two python scripts that are part of pidgin that need to be patched to reflect python version 2 being called 'python2' in Arch. /usr/bin/purple-url-handler /usr/bin/purple-remote These both have the line "#!/usr/bin/env python" that needs to read "#!/usr/bin/env python2". This can be fixed with the following commands. sed -i 's/python/python2/' /usr/bin/purple-remote sed -i 's/python/python2/' /usr/bin/purple-url-handler I am not sure how to write a patch for this though. Maybe just include this in the pidgin.intall file?

Does not build with binutils 2.22: gtkimhtmltoolbar.o: undefined reference to symbol trunc I had to comment out # patch -p1 < $srcdir/pidgin-libm.patch and instead add LDFLAGS+=' -Wl,--copy-dt-needed-entries' as in pidgin-light
