Thanks! Works just fine now.

It was installing to /usr/sbin. Should be fixed now.

I'm getting this strange message when I try to build pimd: error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) pimd: /usr/sbin exists in filesystem /usr/sbin/pimd does not exist in the filesystem. Any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

I put conflicts=('quagga>=1.0') because quagga now contains a pimd with the same executable (/usr/bin/pimd) and the two probably conflict anyhoo. It would have been nice to put provides=(pimd) and conflicts=(pimd) in quagga, but AUR is "unsupported". So, you might get unresolvable conflict errors when trying to upgrade. Simply remove quagga or pimd, whichever you want to keep and upgrade as normal.

Putting the following in /etc/systemd/system/pimd.service.d/override.conf seems to resolve the issue I reported previously: [Unit] After=network-online.target Requires=network-online.target Additionally, be sure to read the systemd-networkd-wait-online.service(8) man page, particularly the -i option for what to place in /etc/systemd/system/systemd-networkd-wait-online.service.d/override.conf, for example: [Service] ExecStart= ExecStart=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-networkd-wait-online -i br0

pimd.service fails to start on boot if interfaces are configured to acquire configuration via DHCP and systemd-networkd: $ systemctl status -l pimd.service ● pimd.service - PIM Daemon Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/pimd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Thu 2015-10-15 01:39:04 PDT; 1min 49s ago Process: 329 ExecStart=/usr/bin/pimd (code=exited, status=255) Oct 15 01:39:03 athene systemd[1]: Starting PIM Daemon... Oct 15 01:39:05 athene pimd[329]: pimd: 01:39:04.750 Cannot forward: no enabled vifs Unfortunately, it seems there is no obvious fix for this apart form modifying pimd.service with "Restart=on-failure" (probably desirable anyway) and "RestartSec=2" (2 being the minimum allowed). This modification works for me. It seems that modifying pimd.service with "After=network-online.target" SHOULD fix the problem but it does not. The pimd daemon must be started manually after each boot.
