@stefano.facchini I'm using the nouveau driver. I am not quite sure if I use any other clutter based applications and I am not at home (it's my desktop pc) so I can't check right now. However, apart from pinpoint, everything works smooth.

@mowe I don't think it's a dependency problem. Are you using the opensource or the proprietary video driver? Do you have any issue with other programs based on Clutter?

it is very buggy for me. the example presentation flickers while in transition from one slide to another and then completely blacks out. It is the same for both AUR packages. am i missing a dependency?

Yes, understand that it works without gstreamer. But sometimes it needed and I think would be nice if the gstreamer10-good will be optdepend: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pkgbuild#optdepends

yes of course, with an existing file the warning is not dummy :) what I'm pointing out is that the package currently does not require gstreamer plugins as dependency. They are only required for some video formats and if you want to use them you can install every plugin you need. This seems also the usual practice for official packages (e.g. "sushi")

@stefano.facchini Try it with a valid file! If you don't have gstreamer10-good installed will be warning. So not dummy warning :)

@uzsolt well, pinpoint actually works without gstreamer plugins, the only real dependence is clutter-gst. As for the warning, you get it because the sample presentation contains a reference to a non-existant video file, so it is just a dummy warning

"(pinpoint:5751): Clutter-Gst-WARNING **: Could not create a GST audio_sink. Audio unavailable." So gstreamer0.10-good is suggested :)
