Upgrade fails with "exists in filesystem" for pipeasio32.dll or pipeasio32.so?

1.8.1-2 is the first release of this package with the 32-bit WoW64 front end. If you installed the 32-bit files by hand before that (sudo cmake --install or a release tarball extracted into /usr), pacman doesn't own them and won't overwrite them. Check that no package owns them, remove them, and upgrade again:

pacman -Qo /usr/lib/wine/i386-windows/pipeasio32.dll /usr/lib/wine/x86_64-unix/pipeasio32.so
sudo rm /usr/lib/wine/i386-windows/pipeasio32.dll /usr/lib/wine/x86_64-unix/pipeasio32.so

The package installs its own copies, so the 32-bit driver keeps working. Details: https://github.com/M0n7y5/pipeasio/issues/29

No more manual driver installs: the package also includes PipeASIO Manager (the Installations tab in pipeasio-settings, or pipeasio-manage on the command line). It installs the driver into your Faugus, Bottles (experimental) or custom Wine prefixes for you: it downloads the official release, verifies its checksum, registers the driver, and checks that it loads in that prefix's runner. Tick "Include experimental 32-bit support" to add the 32-bit front end.
