Run-time dependency libffado found: NO (tried pkgconfig and cmake)

pipewire/meson.build:408:15: ERROR: Dependency "libffado" not found, tried pkgconfig and cmake

Builds without error after installing libffado. Namcap identifies opus and libffado as missing depends.

you need sync all installed at once, if not. not works

When I use pkgbuild, then I need to specify all package files for upgrade (sudo pacman -U libpipewire-git-0.3.70.25.g815501cc1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst pipewire-git-0.3.70.25.g815501cc1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst pipewire-alsa-git-0.3.70.25.g815501cc1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst etc.).. that way it works properly.

Will try other helper will see if it gets upgraded, will report back.

tested and works as spected. maybe is a problem with you helper?

The package cannot be upgraded due to circular dependency of pipewire-git and libpipewire-git..

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: installing libpipewire-git (0.3.70.25.g815501cc1-1) breaks dependency 'libpipewire-git=0.3.69.41.gd1aeb8144' required by pipewire-git

Is it possible to drop specific libpipewire version dependency for pipewire-git package?

@Inflame Yes, it's "normal", i solved this problem by uninstalling pipewire-git and dependencies and reinstalling it/them

Inflame commented on 2023-02-23 10:55 (UTC)

I'm running into an issue with conflicting files with pipewire: https://pastebin.com/3EFA3t6c

maderios commented on 2023-01-26 13:47 (UTC)

To disable tests, option is '--nocheck', not '-nocheck'

maderios commented on 2023-01-24 11:51 (UTC)

Today, it builds fine with tests :) Thanks for your answer

seems you hit this https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/1710

nothing to do here. only i can say you can pass -nocheck for disable the check() function

also you can talk with to upstream for possible fix

sorry and greetings
