@anderraso: no worries- I'm glad you got it running! :)

@prurigro I deleted ~/.watabou folder and now it works, thanks for your help!

@anderraso: I should have mentioned that there are two directions you can fix this for yourself in the mean time (assuming it is what I think it is, which I'm pretty confident is the case).
1. If you don't want want or care about having encrypted save files to resist the urge to cheat, and you don't have any particularly involved saved games you'll be losing, you can simply delete or move the save directory @ ~/.watabou so a fresh, unencrypted one is created.
2. If you like encryption or don't want to lose your save, or have a reason in some direction to keep the encrypted save files, all you need to do is comment out or delete the line in the prepare() function of the PKGBUILD that looks like this: "patch -p1 < ../no-encryption.patch" :)

On a side note, if anyone is interested in the desktop port of the Shattered fork, I gave the dev a hand the other day by handling the initial port, and therefore have a package available for it on the AUR as well :) https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/shattered-pixel-dungeon-git/

Cheers!

@anderraso: The the most recent commit upstream added save-file encryption in an attempt to prevent cheating, but it doesn't upgrade old saves at this point yet, and anyone who updates with old saves ends up getting the same screen you're seeing when they try to play. I'm not really sure what the best solution would be at this point in terms of a single compatible package, but considering the official build hasn't accepted my pull request yet, this version is running a much newer code base and wouldn't be compatible with saves from the official release at the moment anyway. Thoughts?

@anderraso: Good catch! When I'd originally set this package up, the java-environment package was this strange toggle-able metapackage for jdk/jre 7 and jdk/jre8, but it seems like all that is getting wrapped up in favour of making jdk/jre8 the standard, so I fully agree with your suggestion and will post an update right now.

When I click on "play" option I only see a black screen, but when I use official web page's jar file, it works.

I installed "jdk8-openjdk" and it went ok, you should add it to the dependencies. Thanks, for maintaining this =)
