@Fohqul no, that is already handled by pacman hooks.

The README's instructions initially did not work because they neglected to create the plasmalogin user - they have since been updated to include running the command sudo systemd-sysusers. Maybe this PKGBUILD should do this too?

You might want to add conflicts: lightdm since both packages contain /usr/share/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.DisplayManager.conf.
