Ah, I see. Thanks for telling this. I wonder why GTK theme doesn't appear on your system by default though

So I tracked it down to another thing indeed. To build the package we used an interfere basically changing parts of the PKGBUILD) for quite a while to work around the exact same issue. The interfere only applies to the exact pkgname, so it was no longer used for this new package. Sorry about bothering you, this was completely my oversight.

@dr460nf1r3 For renaming I only changed the
pkgname
anddepends
part. The_pkgname
part was not changed at all. I guess the your issue is caused by something else. I couldn't reproduce it on my pcdr460nf1r3 commented on 2023-10-31 07:50 (UTC)
Was the package using "sweet" (lowercase) as name for the GTK theme before? After moving to the new package name, GTK themes were suddenly no longer themed. There are no commits available to look into the changes. I'd suggest reverting this if it has indeed been changed, since it breaks a lot of existing setups.

The build function take so long to complete! Any work around to fix this?

@hey951753 This package contains all the needed components of sweet theme with dependencies without need to think about, which packages you'll need for theme to work for whole system (you've noticed that there's a lot of
sweet
packages out here, and I had this problem too, so decided to makefull
package). Plus, I've rewritten some dependencies packages (e.g.sweet-kvantum-theme-git
andsweet-cursors-theme-git
) because the original ones (e.g.sweet-cursor-theme-git
) had unneeded package installation in their PKGBUILD and whole theme build took more time. In the end, my package contains simple fix for splashscreen issue. I've asked for this fix insweet-kde-git
comments half of the year ago, and it's still not fixed in it.hey951753 commented on 2022-09-10 22:12 (UTC) (edited on 2022-09-10 22:16 (UTC) by hey951753)
Also, candy-icons doesn't exist. candy-icons-git does. Please fix.
Edit: to clarify, when installing this package with yay, I get: "Could not find all required packages: candy-icons (Wanted by: sweet-theme-full-git)".
It only works when I manually install candy-icons-git.

What's the difference between this and sweet-kde-git and kvantum-theme-sweet-nova-git?
