the combination of the new name and new version string leads to yay seeing a version mismatch: plasma6-applets-arch-update-notifier: local (6.3.2.r0.gcb8f18e-1) is newer than AUR (6.3.2-1) you should either drop the short commit from the PKGBUILD pkgver or add it to the AUR version string.

Yes, I wondered whether it was necessary or not since it was the default option. But I guess it can be annoying if you don't use it ^^ I'll do an update.

yay should really be an optional dependency because you can use any AUR helper with this.
