This package allows to use the QML debugger when testing Plasmoids via `plasmoidviewer`. Note from Qt documentation about QML debugging: Enabling the debugging infrastructure might compromise the integrity of the application and system, and therefore, you should only enable it in a controlled environment. --- All my packages are managed at GitHub where you can also contribute directly: https://github.com/Martchus/PKGBUILDs There also exist a binary repository: https://martchus.no-ip.biz/repo/arch/ownstuff

I'm aware that this is out-of-date, but updating each and every version is not worth the effort for me.

Creating a "plasmoidviewer-debugger" in the way you described it sounds like a good idea. For my purposes I don't even need the modified desktop file. I would have done it like this in the first place if I had the idea :-)

So I'll create such a package when I find time and submit a merge request for this one.

This package is out of date, and I question its usefulness.

Why can't you create a package called "plasmoidviewer-debugger" which contains this one (renamed!) binary compiled with -DQT_QML_DEBUG, plus a slightly modified desktop file, and otherwise depend on the system plasma-sdk?
