I've been adding the build flag -DLINUX_X11POWER=on so that plex will keep my screensaver from activating while playing videos. Any chance we could get this in there by default?

I have problems playing Tidal tunes in Plex. After 19 seconds the song stops and the next one starts. Tidal in Plex show's my playlists so it should be connected to my Tidal account.

This does not happen on the macOS desktop client or mobile clients.

Any ideas?

UPDATE: After some investigation it looks like this only happens in the desktop view. If I use the TV view songs are played as expected.

Yeah doesn't work. I launch it from the terminal and I never get a window.

So, the player isn't loading at all. The window opens, it shows the big PLEX MEDIA PLAYER logo for a second, and then I just get a window with the spinning wheel after launching, and I can leave it sit for 20 minutes and it never loads.

Launching from a terminal provides no help, I just get:

Screen goes black on a regular interval (~20 mins?). Audio continues. Moving mouse brings the screen back. Tried setting Screensaver to None in PMP settings and disabling all power save settings in sys. No luck. Doesn't happen on browser version, though browser version has other issues.

Any advice to keep the screen from going off? The package works great otherwise--way better than browser version.

@jmonger Sure, and I've opened a pull request against their upstream, but it's worth mentioning that they've more or less moved on from this product and it's doubtful they'll take it up. Perhaps if folks head to their repo and vote up the change it could get some attention.
