I believe it is not necessary to push out every single commit. A -git package would fetch the latest git commit and build it, automatically updating the package numbering. The package needs an explicit push only when something in the packaging changes (different dependencies etc).

This is possibly missing a dependency, xdg-user-dirs. I am unable to play anything with the error "[W] Network request failed for metadata, trying cache ERROR: MissingPlatformDirectoryException(Unable to get application documents directory)", which led me to https://github.com/flutter/gallery/issues/979#issuecomment-1693361972 which has solved this issue for me.
