@aarondill I'm not to sure how interoperable this is expected to be as a Lua dropin. Hence not messing with the default paths initially.

note that pluto adds the following line to the end of LUA_PATH_DEFAULT (line 233), which is not present in the extra/lua package

       "./?.pluto;" "./?/init.pluto

This package doesn't include /usr/share/lua in the default LUA_PATH (or /usr/lib/lua in LUA_CPATH), meaning it can't be used with other pacman-managed lua packages.

This commit from the extra/lua package includes a patch to change this behavior that can be used with minimal changes: Search in both /usr/local and /usr
