In Artix repo, disown.

I tried to compile it now and indeed, it fails, but not because of what you mentioned, but because of some linux/glibc header conflicts. I compiled this version 2 weeks ago (I was waiting for package to be orphaned) and then it worked. I should try to see if the standard version plymouth compiles, but I currently don't have resources to test this.

Version 22.02.122-1 doesn't build. The compiler throws Error 2 and the "fatal: No names found, cannot describe anything." error message.

Is there any documentation on how to get plymouth running without systemd? For example how do I tell my init system about it or rather what do I have to tell my init system?

I've updated the version and made the changes needed to get it to build properly. Hopefully I can get the Artix packagers to add this package to their repositories. I can't seem to get it working currently.

I've updated myself to 0.9.4, so now you should use --disable-systemd-integration and remove plymouth-set-default-theme.in.patch to work properly.
