Hum, I'm not sure I can reproduce your issues. In trying, I found a bug with how the PAM configuration (/etc/pam.d/system-auth-poldi) was installed, but I don't think this is what you are referring to. * $pkgdir/etc/poldi/poldi.conf is moved by the PKGBUILD to $pkgdir/usr/share/poldi/poldi.conf as an example. * it is then copied back from there by the PKGBUILD, and backed up as a config file by pacman * I'm not sure why you expect /usr/share/doc/poldi/example_etc/poldi to be present, nor which install file you are refering to; a grep on the source and built package didn't turn up anything. * Finally, the page is indeed dead, but I can't find a new one... Could you describe your paths issues a bit more?

The link of the package is dead. In the install file the original template is not located in /usr/share/poldi/etc/poldi but /usr/share/poldi/poldi, so the cp failed. And I found nothing at /usr/share/doc/poldi/example_etc/poldi unlike what is said in the second sentence of the install file.

Moved PAM module out of /lib.

Woops. There was a syntax error in the PKGBUILD... This should be fixed now.

[progamler@beppo pkgs]$ tar -xvf poldi.tar.gz poldi poldi/PKGBUILD poldi/poldi-arch.patch poldi/poldi.install [progamler@beppo pkgs]$ cd poldi [progamler@beppo poldi]$ makepkg ==> ERROR: install file (('poldi.install')) does not exist.

Hum, yeah, why not? I'm actually quite enthusiastic about all that at the moment (just got my card and reader). I can take over.

Hi shtrom - this is great, thanks! Do you want to adopt this package from me? I'm actually no longer using my smartcard very often, so it might make sense...

Oh, and I wrote a quick doc about setting all that up on PAM-enabled systems [0]. It works nicely for GDM and Gnome Screensaver. [0] https://www.narf.ssji.net/~shtrom/wiki/tips/openpgpsmartcard#local_user_authentication
