Hello all — Pop Team here! With captn3m0’s help, we’ve now integrated AUR updates into our automated build process. This means that whenever we release an update to the Linux app, it’ll immediately be pushed out to the AUR repository as well.

If you have any questions or issues, please post it up at https://support.pop.com (ideally), or email us at hello@pop.com.

Thanks!

Package is now renamed to pop-bin. Why? Screen renamed itself to Pop. Read more here: https://pop.com/screenhero.

This package is now maintained by the Pop team!

Initializes fine, though with a black screen on the monitor in focus when in a meeting. Am I missing something?

Hello, captn3m0!

'gir1.2-gnomekeyring-1.0' seems to be the part of 'libgnome-keyring'. Please, see: https://packages.debian.org/source/jessie/libgnome-keyring.

I suppose there's no need to list 'gir1.2-gnomekeyring-1.0' as a dependency.

Funny story just now. I searched AUR for screen.so a while back and again today and I swore I didn't get any results, and so I built my first PKGBUILD (https://gitlab.com/elijahlynn/aur-screen-desktop-bin) and was excited to push it up and followed all the instructions but then was getting permission denied and saw some suggestions that the name may be taken so I searched again and found you had already uploaded this last month! It was still a great learning experience and I am glad I did it even though I won't be the maintainer for this, and frankly I was already scheming a way to have the maintenance be done mostly by the community by automating the merge of any PR that received 3 thumbs up by GitLab users.

In fact, there is another duplicate package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/screen-desktop/ without the -bin suffix too, that was even uploaded before this one.

One thing worth noting is that searching AUR for "screen.so" only yields results for https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/screen-desktop/ and not https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/screen-desktop-bin (this one). Not sure why as PKGBUILD has same occurrences of "screen.so" though.

Also, love that you put this up on GitHub for collaboration, so much better than the comments here and reduces maintenance burden!

Update: I think I was searching for "screen-so" maybe. This one is a tough one to search for. Ahh, and I see now, somehow https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/screen-desktop/ has "keywords" which I don't see in PKGBUILD or .SRCINFO so not sure how that gets added but that I wonder if it was recently added.
