@biinari Thanks! Updating the PKGBUILD now. As a side note, are you still interested in co-maintainership?

Looks like the configure options for uuid-ossp changed. I fixed for myself by adding --with-uuid=e2fs to use libuuid from libutil-linux package. See https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.4/uuid-ossp.html#AEN171650 for other options.

I'm failing on building postgresql-9.4.7:

checking for SSL_library_init in -lssl... no configure: error: library 'ssl' is required for OpenSSL

@ahungry, looks like AUR requires just one owner. If you're happy to go ahead and make the change as gcornut described below and upgrade to 9.4.10 that would be great.

Thanks

EDIT (2021-01-05): Sorry I'm not interested in co-maintaining this any more. I'm no longer daily-driving arch and no longer using postgres 9.

Thanks @biinari that sounds good to me

I'd be happy to update the PKGBUILD and postgresql-check-db-dir to work and upgrade to 9.4.10. Any objections ahungry?

What I had to do to make postgres work after install: Create DB: $ sudo -u postgres initdb -D '/var/lib/postgres/data' Modify /usr/bin/postgresql-check-db-dir: ... # PGMAJORVERSION is major version PGMAJORVERSION=9.4 # PREVMAJORVERSION is the previous major version, e.g., 8.4, for upgrades PREVMAJORVERSION=9.3 ... Start service: $ systemctl start postgresql.service
