Is there a way to have the password be saved so I don't have to type it in everytime the app is opened?

Thanks @yochananmarqos.

@alphazo: It's actually 1.0.1. Check the control file in the control.tar.xz.

I updated to the latest published version. It's weird that there is no version number in the filename of the .deb package. That being said the application displays "5.0.104.0" at the bottom. Should this be part of the AUR package version number?
PS: Now that I switched back and forth between beta and regular using the built-in switch, the version number shows "5.0.37.9" for the regular version. When clicking on it then it shows a release page up to... 5.0.36 only.

@samuel-emrys: Oh, by the way--to address your query: The binary .deb
source archive already contains all the necessary files, it's just extracted and things moved around. There is no source available yet.

@samuel-emrys: Well, restore your comment for context. That is, unless we want to delete this whole conversation and pretend like it didn't exist. :D

@yochananmarqos you're too quick. I've removed my request, but I was referring to a Desktop entry. I've noticed that, despite my initial investigation, I do have a proton-mail.desktop
launcher installed in /usr/share/applications
- I don't see anything in this package that would have done that, so I'm not sure what mechanism created it, but it's there.
Regardless, my use case is satisfied. Thanks again for the quick work.

@samuel-emrys: Define "installed as a desktop application". What is done for signal
? I have no idea what you're talking about.
