The package is still broken by error shown below. Unfortunately I have not knowledge to modify the PKGBUILD. Can anybody help?

student975 commented on 2012-09-16 11:31

Now I have:

...
running install
Checking .pth file support in /tmp/yaourt-tmp-anli/aur-puddletag-hg/pkg/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/
/usr/bin/python2 -E -c pass
TEST FAILED: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-anli/aur-puddletag-hg/pkg/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ does NOT support .pth files
error: bad install directory or PYTHONPATH

You are attempting to install a package to a directory that is not
on PYTHONPATH and which Python does not read ".pth" files from. The
installation directory you specified (via --install-dir, --prefix, or
the distutils default setting) was:

/tmp/yaourt-tmp-anli/aur-puddletag-hg/pkg/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/

and your PYTHONPATH environment variable currently contains:

''

Here are some of your options for correcting the problem:

* You can choose a different installation directory, i.e., one that is
on PYTHONPATH or supports .pth files

* You can add the installation directory to the PYTHONPATH environment
variable. (It must then also be on PYTHONPATH whenever you run
Python and want to use the package(s) you are installing.)

* You can set up the installation directory to support ".pth" files by
using one of the approaches described here:

http://packages.python.org/distribute/easy_install.html#custom-installation-locations

Please make the appropriate changes for your system and try again.

Package puddletag-svn will no longer be maintained as the developers moved from subversion to mercurial.

Install --- puddletag-hg --- and it will take care of dependencies for you.

Both packages will soon be merged into puddletag-hg.

I'm sorry, I've been busy with my school. I will update it (make a new package) tonight.

@Berseker,

That brave another user can create puddletag-hg as far as app's home page informs us about mercurial repository. Are you that another user? :-) Please, inform us here if you will create new aur package.

please update the PKGBUILD or either abandon it, so another user can take care of it
