Why would that be a reason to remove the package from the AUR? Is it against ArchLinux policy? It's still useful to let users who want to compile it.

The developer left the project.
“Important! As of April 15th 2016 I won't be working on this plugin anymore. If someone wants to pick up development feel free to email me. There are some other up-to-date APIs that you may want to check (yowsup, ChatAPI, etc).”

@vinipsmaker: Please, remove the package from the AUR repository.

I am getting force closures of pidgin after updating to 0.9.0-1, any one else having the same issue?

Encryption support was already added to the `master` branch of the repository. The author suggested he will release a new version as soon as he implement the new version of the protocol. I hope this will be done soon.

I downloaded this, uncompressed and installed with
make install
works fine. Just in case someone wants to know.
Now my whatsapp in pidgin show double ticks of delivery notification.
