There's been a few changes. Firstly, license is now Apache 2.0 instead of WTFPL. Secondly, scrot and optipng can be replaced with maim, slop and xdotool. Scrot is overall pretty terrible (produces ugly glitches, doesn't compress images, hasn't been updated in years). Most people should be using maim + slop instead for taking screenshots. optipng isn't really necessary with maim since maim compresses pictures far better than scrot.
