hi, i think the installation can be simplified using the setup, see pyinstaller-git moreover this would allow to use it as a module. xan.

Thanks for your patch brainmue ! Sorry for the delay ... vacation time ;-) ! * Updated for pyinstaller 2.0 * Removed those ugly hacks which seems to not be required anymore * Moved pyinstaller data from /opt to /usr/share * Removed launcher script, a simple symlink now just works Have fun !

Hi ! This is a first version of pyinstaller, a fantastic program to build portable binaries out of your python scripts ... ... it requiered some tricks to make it work ... so, please try and report if something is wrong ! Enjoy !
