@johannestitz Next time you don't need a package any more please just orphan it, filing a deletion request was out of line because lots of things depend on this and having a stable package available to fill that dependency is totally acceptable, the VCS -git package does not fill the same need.
@ainola Just a little bit more in depth review of deletion requests please ;-)
