Just pushed update for latest version. I also added forcing of the system python runtimes (per @jatone's request).

jatone commented on 2018-11-10 11:30

please hardcode python to the system python. python environment managers for users will interfere with installations of the package.

Sorry for the delay I've been away from a way to fix this for a bit. Not sure what happened with 0.1.32 I always build before I upload, but it's unlikely debian removed the artifact. Soo not sure what happened there.

SpaceboyRoss commented on 2018-10-16 16:16 returns a 404

@jvreeland If you would be willing to add me as a co-maintainer, I can update this to the current version. I need this updated so I can update the dput package

Fails to build:

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading

The last available packages in are python3-debian_0.1.33_all.deb and python3-debian_0.1.30_all.deb, but there's no python-debian_0.1.32.tar.xz in between

@xpt: This sounds like a packaging problem (running makepkg (possibly indirect)), not an install problem (running pacman).

It does sound like a broken Python 3 installation on your end.
Note that the PKGBUILD builds both, the Python 2 and 3 version.
makepkg --pkg python2-debian
when you are only interested in the Python 2 version and don't care about a broken Python 3 installation.

What do these give you:

ls -lh `which python`
ls -Llh `which python`

possibly the problem is also in
echo $PATH

(all from your system, nothing to do with the package itself)

xpt commented on 2015-10-01 02:13

i can't install it :(

this show me:
unable to execute '/usr/local/bin/python': Permission denied
error: command '/usr/local/bin/python' failed with exit status 1

merge done ("this" in the previous comment referred to python2-debian)

JonnyJD commented on 2014-12-10 22:24

I requested to merge this package into python-debian and I will upload a new split pkgbuild when that is done (it only works that way).
The new pkgbuild can already be found here:
