I am going to avoid updating this package to version 1.4.9 until a bug [1] reported by namcap is fixed.

I've created two related packages: python-django-extensions [1] and python2-django-extensions [2]. They are up to date, properly named and better written. If @minder approves, I'd like to see this package merged in to python2-django-extensions. (I'll email the mailing list and tweak the `provides` in my package.)

updated the package to its latest version. since the project has moved to github and github doesn't present a way to download packages (that works fine with pacman), i decided to clone the source repository then use the version tag for creating the package.
