The django-tables2 setup.py file only lists Django>=11 as an installation requirement, and tablib as an optional extra. If the other packages listed in the requirements file (such as lxml) really are dependencies, then they should be moved to setup.py; the requirements file is intended for applications, or specific development environments.
This appears to be an issue with how upstream is performing development. I don't have time to take this up with upstream, so I'm disowning this package.
