Ops...You're right. I've fixed it in the last package release (2).

It is true that it clutters up the directory, but the file produced by the build step invoked with python2 and python3 are exactly the same for this package. Thus, I think that it is not necessary to have two source directories. Let me know if I'm wrong

You are currently building the python3 version twice. You need to invoke setup.py in the py2 version with python2, not just python. The build step also clutters up the directory so you cannot just build it twice in the same srcdir, you need to clone it and build them independently. You can use python-flask-restful as an example.
