Hello!

Please, fix the installation of tests folder in global site-packages.

I've elaborated this method you can add to package() method: find "$pkgdir/" -name "tests" -print0 | xargs -0 /bin/rm -r

Thanks.

@vuvko Upstream fixed and released. They also moved the cheese around on GitHub a bit, but I was able to rip out all the patching shenanigans from this PKGBUILD.

@vuvko There is an open PR on the repo to fix this, I've applied it to the release build as a patch to get it working again. Hopefully upstream does this eventually too...

@vuvko I'd be happy to switch this to a fork or apply patches if/when somebody comes up with a workaround.

I don't think it will get fixed, since the upstream repository has already this issue reported and the last update was in 2018.

To anybody having trouble building this now that python-setuptools dropped support far what this project does upstream, the issue only affects build time not run time, so you can use the version I compiled before this became a probelem:

$ pacman -S https://arch.alerque.com/x86_64/python-ntfs-0.1.4-2-any.pkg.tar.zst

@vuvko This is an upstream issue. I don't know that there is much this packaging can do about it. I'll block new versions of setuptools but it is going to be difficult for people to arrange. They will have to get an old version out of Arch package archives until this is fixed upstream.

I'm getting an error regarding the use of use_2to3 option in this package. Since the v58 (https://github.com/pypa/setuptools/blob/main/CHANGES.rst#v5800) the setuptools does not support this option.

This package is missing makedepends=(python-setuptools).

MIT is not a custom license (although you do need to package the license file).

I'm also pretty sure you don't need to reset the prefix for most Python setuptools based installs.
