@jrd Thanks for mentioning them, Unfortunately I don't have time anymore to maintain this package. I will make the package orphan, hopefully someone will take it and continue maintaining.

A provides list should also be added to say that it will replace the corresponding python-pip and python2-pip packages.

With the pkgname suffixed with '-git', this package should build the latest git commit instead of the latest stable release, like what is was before 4591e7eaab12.
