@MarsSeed it doesn't do much good to fix the dependency name since the "new" package name has many broken dependencies itself. At least keeping it with this old name means the package is buildable using the pre-built packages in my user repository.

That being said I'm dropping further maintenance on this.

Hi,

Please make this use python-confluent-kafka, as its duplicate, python-confluent_kafka got deleted.

The package I'm linking to is an orphan now, and broken due to its python2 subpackage. So it needs some TLC from a new maintainer (dropping Python2, updating to latest version).
