pygame 1.9.4 already has a fix for the issue with freetype-config mentioned below, so the workaround I described is not necessary anymore.

The arch package for freetype doesn't include freetype-config anymore (see https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/58468). I used the following prepare function as a workaround:

prepare() {
  cd ${_name}-${pkgver}
  sed -i -e 's/freetype-config/pkg-config freetype2/g' -e 's/ftversion/modversion/' config_unix.py
}

Hi, got a 404 error with this: https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/source/p/pygame/pygame-1.9.3.tar.gz

Here is the correct link: https://pypi.python.org/packages/61/06/3c25051549c252cc6fde01c8aeae90b96831370884504fe428a623316def/pygame-1.9.3.tar.gz#md5=ac744ea6952b68d5f2b6d02a6d8e836c

This also needs python-setuptools I think.

Fixed sha1sum. Sha1 is much more secure than md5.

evertonstz commented on 2016-01-02 20:55

Why don't you use md5sum instead?

Figgis commented on 2016-01-01 05:04

sha1 hashes not matching is still an issue

Tetsumi commented on 2015-12-23 10:55

have disown the package. i don't see why the hash has been changed, the files are the same as before, even the time-stamp in the archive header is the same (Wed, 17 Dec 2014 21:31:25 GMT)

PKGBUILD is broken, sha1 hashes don't match. Can be fixed by manually downloading the source, running sha1sum and pasting the result into PKGBUILD. If you dare.
