I have the same issue in check() section of PKGBUILD

I've tried both python-pystache and python-pystache-git

Installing pystache-test script to ../test_dir/opt/anaconda/bin
/home/cristi/.cache/yay/python-pystache-git/PKGBUILD: line 31: ../test_dir/usr/bin/pystache-test: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in check().
Error making: python-pystache-git

Is it possible to change the installation to make this work with pyenv?

Current I'm getting the following error:

Installing pystache-test script to ../test_dir/home/user/.pyenv/versions/3.7.2/bin
/home/user/.cache/yay/python-pystache/PKGBUILD: line 27: ../test_dir/usr/bin/pystache-test: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in check().
Error making: python-pystache

The -git version of this package doesn't have this issue. It also doesn't mention having to jump through some hoops for the Python 2to3 conversion.

Should python be a dependency?

Cheers, fixed.

As noted by unlimitedbacon, the CLI tool `pystache` fails when python-setuptools isn't installed:

$ pystache
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/pystache", line 6, in <module>
from pkg_resources import load_entry_point
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pkg_resources'

This seems to depend on python-setuptools
