I've updated this package to the fork I'd mentioned earlier.
But I am disowning it now, since I myself have no use for it.

This project seems to have been abandoned since 2016.
Here is an unofficial fork from 2021, providing an updated python-simple-crypt v5.0.0, fixing some issues.
Among them, the needed changeover from the deprecated and insecure pycrypto to its maintained continuation project, pycryptodome.

Hi,
This should not depend on python-crypto. That name is deprecated.
It should use python-pycryptodome, which is the continuation fork.
Someone created a wrong package in AUR providing "python-crypto". So it's much better if you declare python-pycryptodome, to ensure this will use the proper dependency.
Cheers.
