Ran into the same issue as ase1590 (swampy doesn't work with python3). For others who find this, I just ended up following the instructions on the swampy page for python3, which are to run locally: - swampy install for python3 (see bottom of page): http://www.greenteapress.com/thinkpython/swampy/install.html - import from dir: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4383571/importing-files-from-different-folder-in-python

No longer works with python 3. Project has also been abandoned upstream since the new Think Python 2nd edition book no longer uses it. Might as well remove this package.
