warning: ignoring package xz-5.6.2-1
seems suspect. Is it in your IgnorePkg section in pacman config?Rhinoceros commented on 2024-07-15 03:19 (UTC)
Thanks @seanfire99. Sorry, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is.
When I run
mkarchroot $CHROOT/root base-devel
, my system just installs all of those packages, e.g. xz, libxml2, etc. I'm running vanilla Arch, so I'm not sure if your issues are related to EndeavourOS. When I run the command, it obviously doesn't pull from the endeavouros database. Maybe you can ask on the EndeavourOS forums? If you can get chroot working, then you can come back here and test again.seanfire99 commented on 2024-07-14 15:06 (UTC)

what i have in the paste bin is all the console would let me copy as i scrolled all the way to the top and reached the consoles limit i guess how do i get a more detailed log from the console when i reach the consoles limit?
p.s i followed the clean chroot link you sent me to the best of my abilities but when i encounter the errors i thought it wise to discontinue until i can figure out what went wrong.
p.p.s i figured out how to max out the console https://pastebin.com/Uqau4X1f

@seanfire99 looks like you didn't install a bunch of dependencies? Could you please list the full commands and outputs?

@katt, yeah I did think about it, but decided not to. I've only really made a change in how the package is built. If users already have the package installed, they will no longer have
python-mock
installed anyway, so I didn't see the point in forcing them to re-install it. The only "negative" is that some old users might have python 3.2 installed, but that's fine.katt commented on 2024-04-23 11:27 (UTC)
should probably also bump pkgrel :p
