Why are there so many python2 dependencies when there is another python2 package?

I think python-zict is also missing for the tests.

Is this dependence hell? I think python-yaml is missing for the tests.

@kgizdov. I added it. Tests are disabled for python2 since they depend on python2-bcolz and python2-heapdict which don't exist and which I don't control.

I was wondering if you could make a split package for Python 2 as well. One of the packages I maintain needs it (python2-awkward-array)?

Please add ipython to the checkdepends

I just updated python-distributed, and noticed that dask has many dependancies. I think (not sure) that python-scipy, python-pandas and python-pyzmq are all opt-deps, as perhaps is python-numpy (though python-bcolz requires it, so maybe not). Could you check this? I can tell you that in the there are no deps at all.

I just packaged python-fastparquet so that you can export dask dataframes to parquet. Can you add it as an optdepends?
