Makes sense, I agree that trying to get python2 packages working now is not really worth it.
If you're not maintaining this package, maybe it is best to disown or request deletion for this package so someone else might try.

It just leads into a rabbit hole of deleted dependencies, so I had given up at this point. I forgot what I was trying to install, but I resolved to spend the time on porting it to Python 3 instead of going through all this trouble.

python2-setuptools-scm
dependency cannot be found which makes this package uninstallable. Is there some workaround for this?
