Thank you, works for me.
Only added this into ~/.local/share/python_keyring/keyringrc.cfg:

[backend]
default-keyring=keyrings.alt.Gnome.Keyring

because, python2-keyring opens kwallet by default.

And installed python2-keyrings-alt manually.
Is dependency for python-keyrings-alt valid? Maybe it should be python2-keyrings-alt?

sorry about that I've been silent for so long. I have updated the package.
Can you check if it works for you?

tsdh commented on 2016-04-18 05:36

@marwy: Indeed, with community/python2-keyrings-alt installed, the keyring extension works again (though I had to reinstall it first). Thanks for the hint!

tsdh commented on 2016-04-15 17:08

@marwy I didn't see your comment but I'll try that out at work on Monday and report back. But still it wouldn't hurt if this package was upgraded anytime now. The current mercurial_keyring extension is 1.1.2...

marwy commented on 2016-02-19 21:29

FWIW, @tsdh, installing python2-keyrings-alt fixed this issue for me.

After the upgrade of community/python2-keyring 7.3-1 -> 8.1.1-1, the python2-mercurial_keyring 0.6.7-1 extension is broken. When I execute a hg command that requires authentication, I get this error:

pulling from https://hser@srv/path/to/repo
** Unknown exception encountered with possibly-broken third-party extension mercurial_keyring
** which supports versions unknown of Mercurial.
** Please disable mercurial_keyring and try your action again.

Please, bump version to 0.5.4!

After install:

$ yaourt -S python2-keyring python2-mercurial_keyring

I've got error:

$ hg out
comparing with https://repo/bla/bla
abort: No module named configparser!
