You could just submit a renamed PKGBUILD, and request to merge this package into the new one (the request functionality is right on the AUR web interface). Thanks :)

@felixonmars OK, got it. And what should I do? I'm afraid it will cause to creating a new package that I just submit a renamed PKGBUILD.

We usually use python2-foo for the python 2 based package, but if it's a tool, the python 3 version would rather stay its upstream name. For example, we have pep8/python2-pep8, flake8/python2-flake8 in the repos.

It supports both Python 2 and 3, maybe someone would prefer a Python 2 based package.

I'd suggest to rename the package to pyfm, since it's intended to be a cli tool.
