GCC 6 problem is now fixed. Found a fix on the Fedora mailing list.

Morn commented on 2016-07-03 15:25

So this seems to be the same gcc 6-related compilation issue I also encountered with scid_vs_pc a while ago:

I don't know how to fix it yet though.

Thanks, I've added the missing dependency. Unfortunately the package does not build for me currently:

/usr/include/c++/6.1.1/cstdlib:75:25: fatal error: stdlib.h: No such file or directory
#include_next <stdlib.h>
compilation terminated.
make[2]: *** [Makefile:929: .obj/qsampler.o] Error 1

Compilling from a clean chroot, it fails because qt5-x11extras is missing as a dependency.

Morn commented on 2015-08-21 09:10

OK, added liblscp to AUR

lucianoar commented on 2015-08-21 02:21

Dependency liblscp not found in aur

produnis commented on 2015-06-21 18:32

works great now!
thx Morn!

Morn commented on 2015-06-21 18:13

I did not bump pkgrel, so maybe that's why the new dependency did not get registered properly. Fixed now (0.3.0-2).

produnis commented on 2015-06-21 18:08

thx, morn, wokrs now!

Please note everybody that with this new dependency, you need to pacaur -S qsampler in order to make it work. A plain pacaur -Syu will still fail (as it misses qt5-tools)

Morn commented on 2015-06-21 18:05

Ok, added qt5-tools dependency. Please report if this works now or more dependencies are needed.

produnis commented on 2015-06-21 17:59

fails to build with todays update:

> lupdate: could not exec '/usr/lib/qt/bin/lupdate': No such file or directory
> „translations_lupdate“ failed

schivmeister commented on 2015-04-03 14:26

I tried to build this but it failed and I had no time to check it out. I am therefore not updating it as yet. Also, I'm not very interested in maintaining this (I have always just used jsampler) so I'm just orphaning it.

rdoursenaud commented on 2015-03-26 01:23

v0.3.0 is available. See

schivmeister commented on 2014-01-04 16:24

Finally, a release out of nowhere!

schivmeister commented on 2013-05-04 11:32

OK fixed the x11 issue, but underlying problem remains, so not bumping pkgrel.

schivmeister commented on 2013-05-04 07:20

Presently there is no use updating this for whatever local issues we may have. The build is broken, and has been for the past couple of years.

Please do not flag this again unless you have a backport of the fixes in upstream trunk or if there is a newer upstream release.

Anonymous comment on 2013-05-04 01:46

Flagged out of date because it is one of many, many programs which need their dependencies updated from 'qt' to 'qt4' since 'qt' doesn't exist anymore.

schivmeister commented on 2013-04-04 08:30

I don't know why this has been flagged out-of-date..I see no hint of a new release anywhere.

schivmeister commented on 2012-04-15 11:56

qsampler hasn't received updates upstream for a long time, please use -svn instead, or jsampler.

svictor commented on 2012-04-11 21:15

I get the following error during build.

/usr/bin/ld: .obj/main.o: undefined reference to symbol 'XUngrabServer'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'XUngrabServer' is defined in DSO /usr/lib/ so try adding it to the linker command line
/usr/lib/ could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [qsampler] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/yaourt-tmp-victor/aur-qsampler/src/qsampler-0.2.2'
make: *** [qsampler] Error 2

I suppose it's something different than the segfaults mentioned in earlier comments?

schivmeister commented on 2011-11-24 18:25

Please ask upstream to make a new release.

kasbah commented on 2011-11-23 21:40

The segfault is still a present with qt 4.7.4-3 and I could not rebuild against qt 4.5.3 because the compile failes with "undefined reference to `png_read_ingo@PNG12_0' and a whole load of similar undefined references.

Anonymous comment on 2010-08-18 09:41

There's nothing that can be done about this until a new version is released (and the bug is fixed in CVS), but this one segfaults when built and run against qt 4.6.3, runs fine with 4.5.*.
