I tried to build this but it failed and I had no time to check it out. I am therefore not updating it as yet. Also, I'm not very interested in maintaining this (I have always just used jsampler) so I'm just orphaning it.

Finally, a release out of nowhere!
Comment by schivmeister
OK fixed the x11 issue, but underlying problem remains, so not bumping pkgrel.
Comment by schivmeister
Presently there is no use updating this for whatever local issues we may have. The build is broken, and has been for the past couple of years.
Please do not flag this again unless you have a backport of the fixes in upstream trunk or if there is a newer upstream release.
Anonymous comment
Flagged out of date because it is one of many, many programs which need their dependencies updated from 'qt' to 'qt4' since 'qt' doesn't exist anymore.
Comment by schivmeister
I don't know why this has been flagged out-of-date..I see no hint of a new release anywhere.
Comment by schivmeister
qsampler hasn't received updates upstream for a long time, please use -svn instead, or jsampler.
Comment by svictor
I get the following error during build.
/usr/bin/ld: .obj/main.o: undefined reference to symbol 'XUngrabServer'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'XUngrabServer' is defined in DSO /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 so try adding it to the linker command line
/usr/lib/libX11.so.6: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [qsampler] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/yaourt-tmp-victor/aur-qsampler/src/qsampler-0.2.2'
make: *** [qsampler] Error 2
I suppose it's something different than the segfaults mentioned in earlier comments?
Comment by schivmeister
Please ask upstream to make a new release.
Comment by kasbah
The segfault is still a present with qt 4.7.4-3 and I could not rebuild against qt 4.5.3 because the compile failes with "undefined reference to `png_read_ingo@PNG12_0' and a whole load of similar undefined references.

There's nothing that can be done about this until a new version is released (and the bug is fixed in CVS), but this one segfaults when built and run against qt 4.6.3, runs fine with 4.5.*.
