The compilation goes over a loop. Same warning shows up, with the same line of code : aur-qtwebkit/src/qtwebkit-2.3.4/Source/WTF/wtf/SaturatedArithmetic.h: In function ‘int32_t saturatedAddition(int32_t, int32_t)’: Unless this an inline function, it shouldn't reappear dozens or hundred of times. The folder names are also quite suspicious : '/WTF/wtf/' ? Seriously ?

I don't like this. Don't use this package until further information.

@Stillrotten I could get it installed, it took 45 mins, but i switched to CLI instead of any GUI desktop.

@Scimmia you're misunderstanding. The same steps go on recursively, without any noticeable progress or change. Just seems pretty odd that all of this sort of comes together as such when I've had other packages that have taken 3 or so hours to build without any power issues, and that don't run through the same thing 100 times.

@Scimmia: you are right it takes hours, but my laptop get suddenly off during the build, I tried it for 4 times.2 times it get terminated with error message, so I thought may be there is a bug in qtwebkit source it self!

Minute 13 is "goes on forever"? You should expect this to take hours to build. Your PC shutting down has nothing to do with this package.

@mani.zaeim @severach Specifically what's happening to me is it'll get about 2 minutes in, and then it looks like it's repeating the same steps over and over again, until at about minute 13 my PC just shuts down (AMD FX-8370, 16GB ram). Doesn't seem to be hot at all. I can see a lot of messages that say something like "Warning: the use of "defined" may not be portable." Obviously I'd run a pastebin if I could but a) it would be long as all hell and, b) if my PC shuts down anyway that defeats the purpose.

@Stillrotten I face to same issue month ago, so on everyday update I just put it on the ignore list, after shutting down this problem happen https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=231345 the system start randomly after rebooting. I use 16GB RAM and Corei7 CPU

With 4 cores and 4 threads and compiling in /tmp it takes 30 minutes. Multiply that by 8. Use clean-chroot-manager and it will automatically use every core you have. Even doubling the speed with a dual core will be a big improvement.

How long does this generally take to build? I've tried it normally and in a clean chroot but both times it goes on forever and eventually my pc just shuts down.
