desktop-file-utils should only be a makedepend. Not needed during runtime. :)

I updated the version to 0.0.0.4 and added standalone launchers. If the game crashes for you with "Bad cgame system trap: 112", you may want to use an older version for now.

This is the standalone version; you should be able to run it by just installing ioquake3-git and quake3-rally, without pak0.pk3. I'll take a look at launchers.

Is there anyway to play this game without downloading quake3 pk3? Could it build upon ioquake3 or openarena? Also, could you include a launcher and maybe a .desktop file? (you can use gendesk to help you)

New version changed directory name — now it is "baseq3r" instead of "q3rally".

Just start Quake III Arena and select MODS -> Quake Rally. Or from command line: quake3 +set fs_game q3rally
